MathPad Licence Terms
Version of 12 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Alexius Academia ("we") about MathPad ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install or use it.
1. What you may do
You may install and use the app, free of charge, on any computer you own or control, for personal, school, research and commercial work. What you make with the app (your notebooks, their results, and what you export or print from them) is yours.
2. What you may not do
You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, or pass on copies of it; point others to mathpad.syncster.dev instead. You may not change the app, take it apart or reverse engineer it, except where the law gives you that right whatever these terms say. You may not remove or change its notices of copyright or authorship.
3. Ownership
The app is licensed, not sold. Alexius Academia owns the app and all rights in it that these terms don't give you.
4. Check the results
The app is an aid to your own work. Its answers, steps, units, plots and exports may be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for checking a result before you rely on it, and above all before it is used in engineering, science, finance, teaching or assessment, or anywhere a mistake could cause harm or loss.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, of accuracy and of non-infringement, as far as the law allows.
6. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from the app or from relying on its results, even if we were told that it could happen. Our whole liability to you for anything to do with the app is limited to what you paid for it.
7. Updates
The app may look for a newer version of itself and install it. You can switch this off in its Help menu. These terms apply to updates as well, unless an update comes with terms of its own.
8. Privacy
What the app sends over the network, and what it never sends, is described at mathpad.syncster.dev/privacy.html.
9. Ending
You may stop using the app at any time by removing it from your computer. Your right to use it ends if you break these terms; you must then remove every copy you have.
10. Changes and the rest
We may change these terms for later versions of the app; the terms that come with a version apply to that version. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that can't be signed away.
